How did you choose your last holiday destination?

My holiday destinations tend to be chosen entirely arbitrarily...I went to Santa Fe in New Mexico purely because several photographers I admire had been there - I had no idea where it was or what it was like but it turned out to be a great trip; I went to Ireland on my motorbike purely because a friend mentioned it just when I happened to be thinking about getting away...I like to trust to Fate sometimes.

What are you scared of? What phrase do you most overuse? What ability or skill do you really wish you had? How did you choose your last holiday destination? When did you last shed a tear?
