bauma 2025, the lower-case construction industry equipment expo in Munich, is held at Messe Munchen and covers some 614,000 square metres, attracting 580,000 visitors.

My client, Route One Publishing, previously used three event photographers, then two and this year it was just me, so I did a LOT of walking; planning ahead, I constructed my own custom vest/belt system, so no camera bag (easier on my back) & no cameras on straps (for hands-free movement); I carried lenses from 17mm ultrawide to 200mm telephoto, tripod, 4 flashguns & radio transmitter, clamps & attachments for flashes plus spare memory cards & batteries (and didn't look at all ridiculous or over-the-top).

Everything was processed & uploaded on site for immediate use - all went well and thanks to Route One for having me on the team once again.
