I was rather pleased with my little hand-held 30cm octobox, which I use to add a little glamour lighting to portraits & pack shots, as here for the Pentawards judging sesssions; it's so compact that I can attach it to my camera bag and travel by Tube. Alex the video man, however, arrived in a van and set up his 1.5m softbox for interviews with the judges - rather than feeling inadequate, I merely reflected on how important it is to choose the right tool for the job (and, of course, the right shirt for the job; his black T shirt was no match for my latest floral Hawes & Curtis creation).
