I'm happy to say that the Right Honourable Lord Archer of Weston-super-Mare's appearance as guest speaker at an insurance company client's event more than confirmed Private Eye's view of him (odd that his career precis omitted mention of his 4 years at Her Majesty's pleasure); guests were asked 'What word comes to mind when you hear the name Jeffrey Archer?' and it was a real test of my professionalism to remain silent.
